Seva Food Bank delivers hot, ready-to-eat meals to eligible seniors across the Peel Region — helping them live independently, safely, and with dignity. Our program is about more than food — it's about showing up with compassion and care, every day.

What’s Included?

  • Two nutritious hot meals each delivery
  • Meals prepared by a trained chef in Seva’s community kitchen
  • Menus designed with seniors in mind, including dietary and cultural considerations
  • Friendly check-ins from staff and volunteers
  • Referrals from healthcare professionals or social workers are preferred.

Who Is Eligible?

  • Are 60 years of age or older
  • Live in Peel Region
  • Have low income, limited mobility, or difficulty accessing nutritious meals

How It Works

Getting started with the Seniors Hot Meals Program is simple. Whether you’re applying for yourself or on behalf of a loved one, our team is here to guide you every step of the way. We begin with a short conversation to understand your needs and determine eligibility. Once enrolled, meals are delivered on a consistent schedule — and if additional support is needed, we can help connect you with other helpful services.

- Home maintenance and safety programs

Delivery Details

We take great care in how our meals are prepared and delivered. All meals are cooked fresh in Seva’s certified community kitchen, then delivered directly to seniors’ homes by our trusted team. Our delivery process is designed to ensure food safety, convenience, and reliability—so every meal arrives ready to enjoy with minimal effort.

  • Meals are delivered Monday to Friday (excluding holidays)
  • Prepared in our certified community kitchen
  • Delivered to your home by our dedicated driver team
  • Packaged safely for convenient reheating and storage

Yes. The program is fully funded. There is no cost for eligible seniors.

We accommodate dietary restrictions and offer a rotating menu. While we aim to meet dietary needs, not all preferences can be guaranteed.

You may remain in the program as long as the need exists or as guided by your healthcare provider.
